The location is excellent.
The rooms are very old and in bad conditions, not worthy of the price of the stay.
Location - could not be better. And the people were very helpful and friendly.
Cleanliness of carpet and smelliness of corridors/room need to be worked on. Also, the chemicals used to clean are very strong or too much. It was difficult to be in the room after the cleaning, I had to leave the windows open for some time. The bathroom needs a shower curtain or a door as the floor in the toilet became wet. A rail is required to hold on to while stepping down as the floor in the toilet became wet and slippery. The bathroom step is quite high and can be risky to climb down without support. Also some hooks to hang clothes will be helpful. The long pillow was very odd but did work for me. Small details if attended to can make it much more pleasant.
Room and bathroom was quite dirty. Comparing with other 3 star hotels, this is well below the standards.
The receptionist was friendly and helpful. The bedroom was clean with a wide double bed. The location was good in the centre of town close to Le Palais des Papes and parking (beneath the Palais). The hotel will give you a 20% discount voucher for the parking.
We were on the second floor looking onto the main street. There was a high noise level during the night with late night traffic, then the dustbin lorries and the street washers. It was quiet again when we got up!
If people are interested on visiting the palace and the historical places in Avignon, the location of this hotel is explendid. Not only is near all attractions but also is near to the trai station. The staff is very helpful and gentle.
It is situated in an excellent place and the staff is really nice. My room was very clean and I couldn't ask a better bathroom.
There is no wifi
Location on main road just up from our bus stop, in old town, close to main sights.
Poor bathroom, can hardly be described as a shower. Breakfast very basic.
Room is very dirty. Bath room is in very bad shap and not functional. Carpet not clean and has very bad smill. I'had to buy my own air freshner!
Location, location, location
Had a room on the corner with windows closed it was noisy.
Receptionist was very helpful with various issues we had. Although room was grubby and felt unclean. Also, the walls are paper thin and you can hear everything through them. Fantastic location - which explains the high-ish price.
As I said above, the room was grubby and felt unclean. Shower was grotty... The hotel was also undergoing some sort of construction work and so felt a bit like a building site... Plaster off the ceilings, wires all over the place, doors taken off frames and lying on the floor etc.
We had a balcony room. That was really nice. Julie was very very helpful and pleasant. We really enjoyed being in the heart of the city. The hotel is not luxurious and it has tiny bathrooms (at least in our room) but it was pleasant and fun.
Could be a little cleaner. Nice wooden floors but a film of dirt could be felt as you walked in the room barefoot. The bathrooms could use updating.
Friendly staff, clean hotel with a nice room. Good location between Avignon Centre railway station and the old town square.
Our reserved room smelt very strongly of tobacco/cigarette smoke and when we requested an alternative room the receptionist gave us keys to four other rooms, two of which had the same heavy smell of cigarette smoking and the third with a broken toilet lid. We chose a room without carpet and single beds as at least it smelt cleaner. This was only after we tried to cancel as the booking from Booked.net said strictly 'no smoking'. When I complained that the hotel had not met their side of the contract, the receptionist said that they were going to charge us anyway as we had not given them sufficient notice. We then reluctantly checked in. The air-conditioning which applies to a superior room as per the booking worked only for the first but no matter what we did we could not get it to work for the second night. Then, as we had a very early departure I wanted to settle the bill on the prior evening only to be told that the 2nd night was going to be charged at 120euro instead of the 89euro as was booked through your site. After showing the duty manager the Booked.net booking form, he reluctantly changed the price and we settled up. This hotel is definitely one star and we were very disappointed and would not recommend it at all.
Female receptionist was excellent ........... very lovely, helpful lady. Location was fantastic. Free parking outside the city walls, almost parallel to the hotel. Easy to get to and from. Loads of parking but in short supply if busy time. We jagged one after two attempts. Get there early.
Room could have been better appointed. Needs a make over really. Price is great, but pretty spartan. Definitely try not to eat in the Horloge Square. Very touristy food of poor quality and average service.
Location was excellent, near to the tourist sights, only a 10 minute walk to the Train Station and/or TVG Bus. No cab needed for coming or going. Many restaurants nearby. Liked the balcony.
Bathroom design was a little odd and could use updating, but understandable due to space constraints. No airconditioning in rooms.
